Hi, I am Gillian and over the coming months I will be walking and honouring the trees that grow along and around the ‘Spine of Albion’; an Alignment, or Ley, that runs through the UK from the South Coast of England up to and beyond the Highlands of Scotland. The route that I am planning has been inspired totally by Gary Biltcliffe & Caroline Hoare’s book “The Spine of Albion”

So why am I doing this?
Because I am passionate about raising awareness of the utmost importance of trees to our very existence here on earth.
Fact: Life could not exist without trees
Fact: Trees produce most of the oxygen that humans and wildlife breathe – they are, quite literally, the lungs of our planet
Fact: Our global forests act as the world’s giant air filters
Fact: Trees help reduce the effects of climate change
I will be fundraising to contribute towards Weleda.co.uk’s mission to plant one million trees in collaboration with the social change and reforestation charity, TreeSisters.org TreeSisters have, to date, funded the planting of over 15 million trees in the Tropics.
For trees to be planted in the U.K. I will also be fundraising for ancientandsacredtrees.org a U.K. based, volunteer run, not-for-profit organisation, funding charitable tree planting for cultural change, rewilding people and planet.
As little as 50p could plant a tree, so if you feel called to make a difference then please donate via my JustGiving Crowdfunding Page
